Small Business Website Marketing

The process of getting a website up and running can be daunting: picking the right domain name, designing the website and optimizing the website. Getting these jobs done and done right is critical to your internet success. Stopping there without thinking about or doing internet marketing above and beyond what you have already done is a big mistake. It will result in disappointment. There are many great looking websites located in the internet graveyard without ever getting close to the first page on Google or getting any traffic.

If you are new at website marketing, hold on even though it can be quite disappointing at first. At times, you may just throw your computer out the window except then you wouldn't receive your email. Having done this multiple times, I am becoming quite an expert in starting over.

If you've got some kind of business on the internet, and you are interested in website marketing, we may be able to help you but you must be willing to learn and have "stick to it ness". I have found Veretekk to be a very useful marketing tool for my websites. Think of it as university course in online business taught by people who make a living online. When was the last time you made money taking a university course?

Website Marketing for Traffic (customers, hits, visitors)

If you design a website properly with the right keywords, headings and content you will get to the first page of Google PROVIDED your niche market is not too broad. XSite Pro is excellent at helping you do this properly.  I had a website  called "internet marketing for soho". This  is probably too broad a subject resulting in  a huge amount of competition in this category. If this website ever gets to first page of Google, it's going to take a good long while.  I had one called and http://www.wellnessopportunity.org that was on the first page of Google as of writing this. The niche was too small for traffic so I revamped my websites into one websiye called http://www.healthandwellness.bz  This is a much broader niche and it will take time to get to the first page of Google. So be fairly specific about your marketing niche but not too specific so you have a good shot at being noticed and ranked highly. If you are on the first page of Google , you will definitely get more exposure and traffic than on the 10 th page of Google. I have to admit that this XSitePro program I use to create my websites helps a lot in my marketing by doing an ongoing analysis of my keywords, headings and body content as I write. I can't imagine how I would do it otherwise.

Even if you do everything right it still takes months and months before any real activity (leads, traffic) will start. Make sure you submit your website to Google and other search engines to speed this process up or you'll be waiting even longer for them to find you. Tracking your website hits is one metric you can use to judge your success. I use a free service called Expert Counter to track my website statistics. It gives a lot of vital easy to understand information that lets you know how your website is doing.

Marketing Using Safe Lists

Email is still by far the most cost effective method you can use to reach potential customers. People check their in- boxes before they have coffee, watch TV or even talk to their kids. Having a huge email list is great but how do you get one while avoiding all spam issues? Right now I am using 2 gigantic safe lists, Blast4Traffic and WebTrafficMarketing .

Web Traffic Marketing

Traffic Seeker

This is a very sophisticated program that can blast your websites (actually every page of your website) to literally 100's of thousands of search engines, directories, FFA sites and classified websites. Your marketing efforts will be ineffective if the search engines don't find your website. This program does it efficiently and can be automated to submit daily/monthly. They do not provide good support since they have yet to return any of my emails re questions. There's a number of things they could easily do to make this program more user friendly but if they don't read their emails this is unlikely to happen. There is another program called WEBCEO that looks good too and appears to be more user friendly. While it submits to real search engines, it doesn't seem to submit to FFA websites.

The Classified Club

This has a wide variety of paid and free marketing tools you can use to promote your website. The yearly fee is worth it just for the AdBlaster program you can download. You can set up your ads once. Then everyday, you simply reload your ads and sent them out again. It's similar to Traffic Seeker but not as comprehensive. The advantage for me is that I can set it up for an entire 12 hour shift or longer so when I am too busy to work on my computer, this program is working for me so that my marketing efforts don't slow down.

AdlandPro

This is a very professional classified advertising website that has multiple programs geared towards the home based entrepreneur. You can place free ads in daily. It also has an attractive affiliate program.
